Character Designs
"Believe in the character, animate with sincerity" - Glen Keane

Creating cartoon characters has always been a long term adoration of mine. I truly do believe that, many cartoon characters already exist before they are drawn; and it's up to the artist to give them that life on paper.
Project#1: Caroline

Caroline is a stay at home mom, with a creative flair. She loves doing activities such as gardening, painting, and reading to her kids. Her zest for fun and life is reflected in her rounded features. The animated style of Caroline is suited to an animated feature film.
Project#2: Farmer Slim

Farmer Slim isn't your typical farmer... He's a snail! And a hard-up one, at that. His motto is, "Down on my luck, again.." Slim is usually found toiling way on the fields using his self-sufficient pulley-tractor system that he crafted. Unfortunately, the farmers economy is not always in his favour, but he makes do.
Project#3: Bunty the Bus

These were the initial Character design for my upcoming illustrated Childrens book, "Bunty get's a Hip Hip Hooray!". The charming story follows these 3 characters - Bunty the Bus, Speedo the Fire engine and Angela the ambulance.
Project#4: Mindy / Zadhu

These were my first few ventures into character design. They both play on the ideal of the "Anti-hero" - Mindy Mouse, a far cry from any other female cartoon mice we know of, has piercings on her ears and listens to Metallica. Zadhu, a brooding bird-humanoid was banished from his tribe in East Africa, and now lives as a nomad.
Project#4: Simpleshow Illustration project

These were character designs done for an upcoming infographic animation for the Simpleshow company. It was based on a brief, requiring a set design style and minimal colour accents for a clean, fresh finish.
